SAFDS is an American studio featuring things to sit on, stare at, wear, collect, crash into, or ramble about. Its interests span fine art, furniture, collectible objects, interiors, apparel, events, select creative collaborations, and other useful meanderings. The work is informed by adventure, nature, vintage cars, motorcycles, mountain air, handmade things, strange details, old materials, good proportions, bad ideas, better accidents, and the kind of obsession that makes a person stare at a hinge, a paint edge, a tire tread, or a chair leg for longer than is socially normal.
